About Jayne Micallef

Hello, I'm Jayne Micallef. I have over ten years of experience empowering expectant mothers and birthing partners for a calmer and more confident birth.

I first began offering classes in London Waterloo in 2008. And began combining yoga with proven mind-body hypnobirthing techniques for childbirth. Because this works so well, I decided to offer weekly in-person locally; I live in Croydon.

Hypnobirthing gives you and your partner knowledge and 'know-how' and, most importantly, empowers you both. It's remarkable how this method affects couples when they dispel the uncertainties and common misconceptions traditionally associated with childbirth; it helps them move away from fear and towards a more natural, calm birth.

There is no one right way to labour. Childbirth is a normal process, and I aim to inspire confidence in everyone by sharing what is possible, helping you develop the skills to move through your labour and leaving you feeling prepared to work through whatever your journey turns out to be.

Teaching hypnobirthing is an incredibly rewarding experience that blends my passion for childbirth education with the transformative power of hypnosis. Guiding expectant parents through the journey of hypnobirthing allows me to be part of its profound impact on their birthing experience. The joy and confidence that bloom as they embrace the techniques and philosophy of hypnobirthing are truly heartwarming.

Its holistic approach sets hypnobirthing apart, fostering a positive mindset and empowering individuals to trust in their body's natural ability to birth. Witnessing the transition from anxiety to calmness in my students is a testament to the effectiveness of hypnobirthing techniques. It's immensely fulfilling to see couples grow closer, building a supportive foundation that extends beyond the birthing room.

Furthermore, the sense of community that forms among my hypnobirthing classes is truly special. The shared commitment to a gentle, positive birthing experience creates lasting connections, forming a supportive network for parents-to-be.

In essence, teaching hypnobirthing is my way of contributing to a more positive, empowering birthing culture. The gratitude expressed by families as they welcome their newborns into the world is my greatest reward, making every moment of teaching hypnobirthing a source of joy and professional fulfilment.

My target with Joyful Body Birth is to provide tools and techniques to create an empowering birthing experience and a more conscious lifestyle with courses and techniques for your health and well-being.
